Dear Doug,
The training costs of the typists are blindingly obviously relevant to the
issue. They are trivial. Therefore the gain is, too. QED.
Neither you nor Paul will face this point, right? All the talk about
hysteresis and absorbing barriers and so forth is so much idle chatter,
isn't it, if the world has made changing from D to Q keyboards trivially
easy in the hardware and the human software both, and yet still the world
won't do it?
I must be missing some deep, deep point.
