Abstract:
The Mexican Economy after Porfirio Diaz's fall did not change
significantly. The presidency of Francisco I. Madero continued the
same monetary policy, commercial policy and fiscal policy. The author
argues that the Mexican Revolution had diferent economic impacts on
various sectors of the country and the trust of the firms and the
entrepeneurs grew considerably. The book shows the actions of the
President in relation to industry, agriculture, farm credit, the
banks, wages, and commercial balances, as well as agrarian reform,
etc. The analysis of the budget in Madero's Administration explains a
turn in social and labour expenditure. There are some criticisms to
the economic policy that resulted in the early failure of the
Maderos's.
